This is the kind of establishment only those ‘in the know’ are aware of, and that’s exactly why we like it so much. Although the entrance to No28 is tucked away by the unglamorous Granger Market, at the relatively quieter side of town, don’t let this put you off – it’s well worth hunting down. Climb the staircase leading from the street to discover a beautiful loft bar converted into a retro-Emporium bursting with Pandora ’s Box worthy vintage mis-matched furniture, ornate statues and lush foliage.

Head straight to the bar and grab yourself one of their signature cocktails. If you’re feeling peckish the restaurant menu’s filled with a selection of internationally-inspired sharing plates and hearty British dishes – The ‘Geordie Rarebit’ with locally sourced Blagdon cheese is a winner. And if you need to dance off your dinner, the resident DJ is on hand most nights too to take the party up a notch, expect a full house at weekends when the party really kicks off.
