El Rancho Dominicano

If you find yourself on this particular rue chances are you’re bar crawling or seeking a night of straight up debauchery, either way you’re gonna need somewhere cheap, dark and kinda weird to get you in the zone.

Enter El Rancho Dominicano, Rhumerie-cum-rainforest complete with out of control foliage, green floro-lights, bird cages, pirate flags, skulls, dream-catchers and a model of the Titanic on display above the bar. We couldn’t draw the relation between the latter and the South American vibes they had going on but we went with it.

Duck and crawl your way through trees and bushes to navigate to the bar, where you’ll get there you’ll meet Anise – kinda sexy/f*cking weird Dutchman who’ll shake you up a Mojito before you can try and figure out what ‘I am dedicated to you’ really meant. They’ve got happy hour between 5-11pm with Mojitos at €5.50, so his sheer speed and agility might prove quite dangerous if you’re lacking in stamina.

This place is open until 2am so you may end up gettin’ frisky with the décor trying to figure out if all the leaves are real or not. The verdict’s still out.
