Modern décor, modern people and great booze and food, what’s not to love? The high ceiling, dark beams and hanging light bulbs give this place a cool, airy feel, even though it’s actually quite small. It fills up quickly so book ahead or have a smoke and a drink outside sitting on tables and chairs while you wait.

Finally a bar in Rio that is imaginative with their drinks! To start go for the cocktails called Bubbligs and have The Santogold (ruby grape, green caramelised apples, Cointreau and Chandon Rose) or a Nivana (Gordon’s Gin, mango, curry and paprika) which is pretty spiceyyyy. There is a new take on the ole Caipis as well, order a School Disco with cachaça or a C’est La Vie with sake. The staff look all alternative and Bohemian and the service is banging… this bar has got it all.

If you’re hungry there’s an extensive menu from various bowls to appetizers and mains. This is a great place to come for food. BarChick loved the polenta with spicy Italian sausage ragu, or the salmon and jasmine wrap. There is something on the menu for everyone and the quality is top notch.
