Kudu is a) a type of antelope, and more importantly b) an epic South African restaurant in Peckham. They've kept the neighborhood love alive by opening an intimate cocktail joint just up the road. Smokey Kudu might be in a SE postcode but it's channeling elegant West End bar vibes to the max. We're talking giant glass chandelier, pink marble horseshoe bar, sultry dark red walls, and velvet green banquettes. Luxe much?  

The drinks list hints at chef/owner Patrick’s native South Africa. The 15 cocktails include Bold & Boozy drinks (a nod at the SA love of BBQs) and Fruity & Zesty with unusual fruits native to Africa. Not tried naartje tangerine before? Just you wait. The bar's named after the best-selling cocktail Smokey Kudu - a banging combination of Bain’s South-African whisky, rosehip, wormwood and smoke. There's no doubt about it - this place is hot. And they say there's no smoke without fire... 

Smokey Kudu is open in the evenings only Wednesday to Friday and all day Saturdays and Sundays.
