A sushi restaurant with a serious fetish for Japanese anime, as soon as you open the door you’re hit by a mass of bubblegum colours and cartoon characters that may have escaped a Nintendo video game to hang out on the walls here. It reminds BarChick of this one time at Glastonbury, although we’re not too sure why.

Bartenders and cool-cats come here to hang after a big night on the scene and local hipsters chat over small plates in the restaurant or perch at the bar. The cocktails, like the atmosphere, are fun; BarChick drank a yum Peach Smash and danced to a crazy, varied soundtrack from the likes of Swedish export Robyn to Mandarin nursery rhymes mixed over pop tracks. Have you ever seen Lost In Translation? The bit where Scar Jo rocks out in the high-rise in Tokyo, yeah this place kind of like that. Well worth a tripped out visit we say.
