The super shiny bar, chillin' inside the historic restored wharf warehouse at Woolloomooloo is as glam as it gets. It's easy to see why the Water Bar has won so many awards, including making it onto Conde Nast Traveller's mega list of top ten bars in the world. Perhaps it's down to the shiny curtain of Swarovski crystals hanging over the island of a bar in the centre of the room. It certainly provides a striking contrast to the wooden walls and original wharf equipment of the industrial factory-ish setting in which it's housed. The comfy velvet lounge seating surrounds it for some incredible people watching, and there's plenty to be seen on Fridays and Saturdays when the place is swamped with a well-dressed crowd and live tunes.
The cocktail menu is massive and so are the selection of sharing cocktail carafes, perfect for a party. They know their stuff too, the barrel aged Negronis are next level. This is the place to impress your date, or hide away in the screened alcoves with your office affair, and if you get lucky check into one of the two level rooms upstairs that look out over the harbour. The only downfall is the lack of windows, but if you want to soak up some views just head outside to one of the many restaurants on the water. Sorted.
