The Gun Spitalfields

This historic pub kills it with modern cocktails and epic Sunday roasts.

You’ve hit up Spitalfields Market and tired yourself out/bumped into too many tourists/shopped til you dropped. Now you’re craving cosy London pub vibes and a chance to sink a bottle of wine with your mates. Our top tip: shoot along to The Gun.

This kickass spot manages to balance nicely between modern/trendy and charming/traditional. Not an easy task, especially for a pub that first opened in 1929. Not a problem for these guys. They've mixed neon signs, creative cocktails and weekend DJs with antique mirrors, distressed walls and curtained booths. Winning.

Weekends are when The Gun really comes into its own. The killer Bloody Marys and food-coma inducing roast dinners make this the ideal place for a Sunday sesh. Add a DJ and the very pretty indoor tree twinkling away, and you’ll be coming back time and again.

Got a hunger for more epic London roasts? We've got your back here:
