Whether looking to impress a date, treat your mum, roll with your crew or have a fly night out with your best friend - these are London's sexiest spots.
Wanna really impress on a dinner date? A three-story townhouse in Mayfair complete with an intimate hidden cocktail den should do the trick. The whole concept of MiMi Mei Fair is that it’s based on the travels of Empress MiMi as she galavanted across the world to her secluded London home. That's why you'll find inspiration as far-reaching as the Tang Dynasty Silk Road, the tea houses of the Ming Dynasty and even the opulence of 1920’s Shanghai Jazz age. Whether you're getting cosy in the Moon Bar or enjoying a feast fit for an Empress in the restaurant, this place is guaranteed to leave an impression.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner - Dishoom has our heart at any time of day with their Irani-cafe street food and sexy cocktails. The Kensington branch is one of our faves - channeling 1930s jazz-age Bombay, it’s a stunner. From the red and turquoise booths, Art Deco chandeliers and massive retro clock face, this is our kinda place. It’s totally buzzing. Check to see when the jazz band is playing live. It pops off, and we’re the first to get up on the table for a dance.
Seabird is perched on the roof terrace of one of London's most uber-cool hotels, and it's as mega as we'd hoped. Inside it's an interior dream - think bright and breezy tropical terrace meets under-the-sea mermaid vibes. Rattan chairs and lush palms had us kicking back as if we were at an exotic beach bar. Don your biggest sunglasses 'cos it's that terrace you're really here for - a breezy suntrap with insane views. Get going with one of the fun tiki cocktails that pack a boozy summery punch and tuck into one hell of a food menu. You won't wanna leave.
Part of the Bloomsbury Hotel, this flower-power terrace gets top marks for its Paris-meets-West London vibe. Plants dangle down all over and slick marble-topped tables, the service is perfection so if you’re lunching with clients or impressing a hot date you can chill, & the floral installations change with the seasons. On any given month you might be surrounded by magical twinkling icicles, springtime buds, rustling leaves or sunshine-yellow bees doin' their thang. All that change means you're never gonna get bored. Result.
Summer spritzes, classic cocktails, exotic flowers & vibrant murals... what could be better? How about rooftop feels in one of London's buzziest neighbourhoods? Sounds like the perfect chill spot to us. Lost In Brixton is a hidden paradise tucked into Brixton Market & it's ticking all the boxes. Enjoy Latin American style cocktails alongside live jams from DJs, plus food from Brixton Village delivered right to your table. What's more, it's protected from the elements in case the British weather doesn't play ball. That's the rest of summer sorted then.
A tropical oasis with sky-high views over London? Now that's a BarChick vibe. Head to Darwin Brasserie for an evening of epic dinner & drinks with a panorama of London, then get in the groove at Sky Pod Bar. They've got DJ nights every Thursday, Friday & Saturday night so your craving for a dance is sorted. Watching dusk turn to dark with a drink in hand and soak up London’s skyline is how we wanna spend our next socially-distanced night out, thanks.
The Ivy has a little sister and it's pretty glam. Marble-topped tables, Art-Deco interior touches and walls hung with botanical drawings all make this a prettily perfect spot for dinner and drinks. But the trump card is the garden itself. Think stone fountains, leafy trellises and wicker chairs topped with striped cushions. It’s has long lunches written all over it. There’s even a log fire to cosy up next to and blankets on hand in case the temperature drops.
You might know Coppa Club for their famous in-igloo dining - fair play, these babies get snapped up almost as fast as Glasto tickets & are a dope way to spend an afternoon. As well as the kickass terrace, there's plenty of reasons to swing by Coppa Club. It's meant to feel like a member’s club in here – a cool central brass bar, slick décor, comfy sofas - but without the ball-ache joining fee. Good vibes, buzzy crowd, pretty dishes and inexpensive cocktails - what's not to love?
You've seen the Insta pics, maybe you've even nailed *that* lemon meringue pie under the twinkling fairy lights. There's always an excuse to stop by Circolo again baby. It's impossible not to be wowed by this place. It's a proper mouth-dropper, with outrageously presented cocktails, a ceiling covered with lights and over 20,000 bottles lining the walls. The foliage makes it feel like a sexy grotto, the buzzing crowd means you’ll never have awkward silences, and most importantly the soft lighting is insanely flattering so you'll look as fly as the interiors.
Welcome to this vividly coloured, flamboyant and surreal take on the 1930’s that became famous for its Press For Champagne button. Bob doesn't need to tell us twice. When you've torn yourself from the fizz check out the décor - all mirrored ceilings, backgammon flooring and gold. Down in the bar, the seating gets sexier with everyone getting their own private train-like booth. The cocktails are just as inventive & you’ll be spoilt for choice with luxe choices like caviar blinis and lobster thermidor. Swanky supper in Soho all the way.
Gold restaurant and late-night bar has the kind of sexy, fun atmosphere that ensures a great night. The outside of the building is a massive graffiti face and inside there's a swanky bar and a tropical, foliage-filled restaurant that makes us feel like we're eating in a bouji greenhouse. It's got the Bohemian-luxe vibes that makes Portobello Road so popular with the cool arty crowd, and the food is also epic, so there won't be any complaints.
Sketch is a definite one of kind. Where else in London do you find a 3-Michelin star restaurant, space pods for loos, a club, a puffy pink restaurant with more art than the Tate and a woodland-themed bar, all under one roof? Hit enchanted fairy-tale forest The Glade for pre-dinner drinks, or eat Afternoon Tea while feeling like you're in a giant marshmallow in The Gallery. It's pure pink paradise. Don't leave without a trip to the most famous loos in London - aka the egg pods. What's more, underneath is the East Bar for your late-night cocktails and DJ needs. Sketch sure has it all.
