San Francisco, California, USA.
Callooh Callay, because they do it all with a great sense of humor and the menus are awesome. Nightjar, because they put just as much thought into the garnish as the cocktails The American Bar at The Savoy, because I can't believe they let me in!
Teardrop Lounge in Portland, Oregon. Perhaps the least famous bar of its caliber. On the last visit I had a marshmallow shrub aged for 9 months. Bar Agricole in San Francisco. So different from any other bar. For starters, the vodka, triple sec, and pisco were distilled for them from biodynamic grapes. Lebensstern in Berlin. Lounging, shopping, and cocktailing in the same elegant setting. I dig it.
Favorite cocktail: Negroni. Favorite drink... I like tequila and scotch.
Traveling around the world. I've been to almost 90 distilleries in more than a dozen countries so far. I love learning from distillers and visiting cocktails bars internationally.
