They use 3 different distillation processes – it might seem like a bit of extra effort, but the result when combined with blending delivers bad-ass, unique rums including our fave: Diplomático’s Reserva Exclusiva, a blend of exclusive rum reserves aged for up to twelve years, carefully selected by the Master Blenders.
With aromas of orange peel, toffee and licorice, this beauty is smooth on the palate, and will hit you with notes of toffee fudge – and all of that makes for one epic Rum Old Fashioned.
What you’ll need:
50ml Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva
10ml Pedro Ximenez Sherry
3 dashes Chocolate bitters
ICE - Cubed
Mix it up:
Pour all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice
Stir for 30 seconds
Pour into a chilled rocks glass over ice.
Now garnish with dark chocolate. BOOM!
